MTV Studios had several live titles, but traffic was concentrated on the most popular ones. Smaller games couldn't compete for attention on their own, and the studio needed a cost-effective way to move players across its ecosystem.

I led the design and launch of a unified community portal that connected all five titles — surfacing in-game news, forum updates, and social content from each in one place. I worked closely with an external design team from the start, making sure our requirements were realistic before any work began. That early alignment meant we hit a tight deadline with no major delays and room to adapt when problems came up.

Within weeks of launch, the portal was redirecting meaningful traffic from the studio's biggest titles to its lesser-known ones. Subscriber counts, engagement, and retention improved across all five games.
